Artist's Description
Antipievskaya church, which was constructed in 1745, represents a "winter-type" temple in the central part of Suzdal (Russia).
Walking through the town one might get the feeling that every third building is a church. Although having over ten thousand residents, Suzdal still retains the look and feel of a small village with streams and meadows everywhere nearby and chicken and livestock a common sight on the city streets, some of which are unpaved. This juxtaposition of stunning medieval architecture with its pastoral setting lends Suzdal a picturesque charm.

About Elena Nosyreva
I was born and raised in Russia. I got my PhD degree in biology in St Petersburg State University (Russia) and continued my research work in the Russian Academy of Sciences. My artistic experimentation has evolved into a tremendously exciting form - mixed media collage, fine art photography, and digital art. I like experimenting with my photographs. I combine multiple images, textures, to crystallize an image that says something new...
